    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Purchase Modern Warfare message even with disc


    I purchased Modern Warfare around Black Friday but never got around to playing it. When I purchased my Xbox One X earlier this year, I installed it and updated it but still didn't play it. I recently tried to launch it to play the campaign and was
    prompted to sign in/create an Activision account (ridiculous but separate topic). I did and connected. Now, when I try to launch the game, I can only launch Warzone mode. If I scroll to Campaign, Multiplayer or Co-op, it has an option to "Purchase Modern Warfare".

    Here is what I've tried so far since both Xbox and Activision support are limited due to Covid-19.

    Hard reset

    Sign out/back in

    Uninstall/Reinstall

    Upon reinstall, I tried to limit what I installed so as of right now, I have the following installed:

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (104.5 GB). I installed from the disc and then forced to do the most recent update.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - campaign pack 11.1 GB

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - campaign pack 15.6 GB

    I don't post often in these forums and rarely complain however, this is among the dumbest implementation I've ever seen. I hope someone has seen this issue and is able to help. I've seen many posts online about this issue so I know I am not the only one
    however, all the solutions provided there have not helped.

    Did you purchase Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

    Call of Duty Warzone is free to download and play with an active Xbox Live subscription. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare campaign is not.

    Why is it whenever I put my Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen disc into my Xbox it doesn’t even start to install or even show up in the Queue? (I just bought the game.)

    Thank you so much for that and do you have the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, installed? If yes, can you please check if you can install the packs for Call of Duty Modern Warfare II from there?

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 1

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 2

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 3

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II - Content Pack 4
