    Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® - Open Beta


    I pre ordered this game and received a message from xbox live that I can download the Beta and begin playing on Sept 19th. Today is Sept 19th so I downloaded the beta using the link that was in the message. When I start the beta it's telling me I'm too
    early and the game won't launch.

    Is there something else I need to do to start the beta?

    Yes. You will need a Microsoft Account to download games from Microsoft Store or Xbox, and play them in Online mode.

    However, neither the Vault Edition nor the Cross-Gen Bundle of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® II is included with Xbox Game Pass. Therefore, you do not need an XGP membership.

    Hey Noble! While I can't swear to what may come in the future, for the time being, the Legacy Edition is the only way to obtain MWR. According to Activision's FAQ:

    How can I get Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered?



    "Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare."

    Can I play Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered without buying Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare?

    "No, you must own Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered."

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully this answers your question. And who knows, maybe in the near future, they'll make it available separately! Seems like an odd revenue stream for them to close off permanently.

    Sorry, Call of Duty Modern Warfare isn't compatible yet on the Xbox One. It maybe in the future though. The following Call of Duty titles are supported:
