    Call of Duty Modern Warfare II Crashes In Game on Xbox Series X


    I’m on Xbox Series X. My game crashes during multiplayer gameplay in either of the two following scenarios:

    1. I die in a multiplayer match and I press X to respawn. Game freezes, game won’t crash itself and game won’t resume. I have to manually close the game and restart it. Sometimes I’m able to rejoin the lobby with my friends and pick up where I left off, sometimes I’m not due to the lobby being full or the game saying the lobby is full even when my friends tell me neither team in game is full.

    2. A multiplayer match finishes, game freezes as soon as the scoreboard shows up.

    This is the only game on my console this issue occurs with

    Console is fully up to date

    Game is up to date

    I’ve de-selected the option to have in game on demand textured streaming data downloaded to my console, which the game states will reduce the graphical features of the game but hey, I’m just trying to be able to play

    Game has been reinstalled

    Cache Cleared

    MAC Reset

    I went to Activision Support, their faq refers me to Xbox support as this issue isn’t yet reported as a known game issue with Activision.

    Why is all of this stupid? Oh, because Microsoft owns Activision…that’s why. You’d think that one entity owning multiple companies and products would make assistance a more seamless experience, but of course that’s not the case. In fact, the converse is true. Microsoft perpetually makes it more and more difficult to submit a request for support for their products; it took me over half an hour just to find this page, and it’s probably not even the right page for me to submit a complaint on or have action taken that will bring any change to fruition that will allow me to play the game seamlessly.

    I’m literally wasting Double Weapon XP Tokens because the game keeps crashing and I’m unable to play a full match and receive all of my progress at the end of the match. Also, I know there’s no combat record in game yet, but I presume that there will be eventually, and I’m going to have a lot of losses/game abandoned on my statistics.

    Why is it whenever I put my Modern Warfare 2 Cross Gen disc into my Xbox it doesn’t even start to install or even show up in the Queue? (I just bought the game.)
