    Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I can’t play the campaign.


    I got the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Christmas and I wanted to play it.

    After a few hours of updates and installations, it wouldn’t let me play because I didn’t have the campaign dlc packs, even though - when I checked - the game said I did. I tried resets, power cycling, uninstalling and reinstalling, none of it worked. I eventually
    thought that, if I uninstalled the campaign packs and reinstalled them, it would work. Nope. They disappeared. I can’t find them anymore.

    In a last ditch effort, I uninstalled the game again and reinstalled it. Now - when I manage the game - all it says is that the base game is installed, and there isn’t anything else I can install. No campaign packs or anything.

    When I go to play the game, It gives me three options: Warzone, Store, and buy Modern Warfare (this option is what includes campaign, multiplayer, and co-op). Not even those matter, because they all have a lock symbol on them and a line of text that says,
    “Go to the store.” When I hover over an option, it says, “Play online” (I don’t have Xbox Gold, so I have to play offline). I shouldn’t need to be online, because all I want to do is play the campaign.

    Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

    Did you purchase Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

    Call of Duty Warzone is free to download and play with an active Xbox Live subscription. The Call of Duty Modern Warfare campaign is not.

    Does every dlc appear on "Manage game & Add-ons" on MW ? is there any missing ? you should have:

    • “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — Multiplayer Pack”
    • “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — Spec Ops Pack 1″
    • “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — Campaign Pack 1″
    • “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare — Campaign Pack 2″

    My favourite Call of Duty campaign was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Granted, I've only played a few of them, so I don't have the most experience when it comes to discussing the campaigns of these games.

    Well the Modern Warfare series and Black Ops series are each trilogies. So I'd suggest start with the first when it comes to the campaign. I liked the actual Black Ops story better--its different and more unique, but when it comes to an overall enjoyable
    campaign, I like the Modern Warfare games the best.
