Why would they call it Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 if there is a call of duty 4: modern warfare?

 

Shocking news.... a new Call of Duty is going to be released this year?!

 

They should go waaay back in history and make Call Of Duty: Stone Age.

You just like, throw stones, hit people with sticks and shout "UGH!" a lot.

Couldn't be any worse than recent offerings...

i think if cod modern warfare was remade, come on guys they would just make a complete hash of it, imagine the original with all these countless idiotic killstreaks and perks in it, it would just end up an unbalanced pile of....like the last few iw cods

I agree COD 4 was and is the best, I liked BO, but BO2 had the same network and connection issues that make COD rubbish to play since COD 4.

I wouldn't mind a new WaW but who cares, TF will be here and there are other games which also look bloody good.

 

There were many reasons why I was thinking of Call of Duty 4 when I played Titanfall.

1. I beta tested Call of Duty 4 on Xbox 360.

2. It feels original. Like a game I have never experienced before. Raw, and ready for me.

3. I could stop going back for more matches. One more then bed. Okay, one more. This is definitely the last one.

4. The Cards. Those feel like a fair advantage, not some other-worldly missile from the sky that you can neither escape nor survive. A worthless insta-kill is what that was.

5. These guys made Call of Duty 4, and it shows.

I could go on, but people would get bored. The point is, this is the new Call of Duty 4 for me, which is one of the biggest compliments I can pay a game. I was a 55 10th prestige in CoD4, and never made it past 2nd prestige in any following Call of Duty
games. I adored that game.

 

Picking cards to take into a fight is just... original. It's not some perk that you keep for a class or anything like that, it's a one use only 'play'. I really hope they expand on it as well.

 

Thats interesting, my view is slightly different but similar.

I thought they were similar because:

The maps where truely free rome, you can jump on everything, inlcuding broken walls, roof tops, and there were no daft restrictions, the maps were uncluteter and fairly simply, with enough foliage and accessories to make it work, without being over compleicated.

The smoothness of the game play, and connection were simply exceptional.

The loadout system was simple, and kept things even

there was nothing that would make you more OP than anyone else, certainly for long enough to care about.

Everything was well balanced and smooth, including the matchmaking.

I never got to max prestige in COD, I only played FFA and I didn't do the challanges so never got the XP.

I would love for them to remaster COD 4, would by it tomorrow.

The issue for me is COD is no longer the smooth, evenly matched game play it used to me, its a lag fest of uneven matches, with different folks doing different things.

I wouldn't take much for COD to get back on track, but I don't think it will happen.

 

I'd only consider another COD game if it was by Treyarch - and even then I suspect I still wouldn't get it. They need to stop flogging the dead horse. (Infinity Ward were the ones that killed it).

 

What about the never developer SledgeHammer a good or bad move?

 

SledgeHammer work on MW3 DlC maps so who knows. But COD is dead to me if its not made by Treyarch. IW just prove they suck at making their own game. With ghosts.
