Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare + Modern Warfare Remastered = 130GB - minimum

Hey Noble! While I can't swear to what may come in the future, for the time being, the Legacy Edition is the only way to obtain MWR. According to Activision's FAQ:

How can I get Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered?



"Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered is only available through the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare."

Can I play Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered without buying Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare?

"No, you must own Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare Remastered."

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but hopefully this answers your question. And who knows, maybe in the near future, they'll make it available separately! Seems like an odd revenue stream for them to close off permanently.

Not particularly bothered about 'Infinite Warfare', but I am interested in going back to Modern Warfare.

COD games took a turn for the worst with all that futuristic rubbish and jumping off walls and crap. The last decent COD was Ghosts. I skipped Advanced Warfighter and I only bought Black Ops III because a friend wanted to play it with me. Couldn't get
in to it.

Not surprised by the size, there only going to get larger with native 4k. Like most I have the room but no interest.

 

I have no interest in buying IW. Might rent it, but that's it. MW:R I might pick up though.

To my knowledge, you can't get Modern Warfare Remastered without Infinite Warfare. It would not surprise me in the least if in six month's time you can buy the remaster as a standalone product, but right now they're a package deal.
