Call of Duty Icon not showing on pc desktop

Please reset the Icon cache by opening Command Prompt as Administrator.

Type the following command and press Enter: ie4uinit.exe -show

Restart your PC and check if the icon appears.

And then manually set the icon. To do this, right-click the blank shortcut and select Properties. Go to the Shortcut tab and click Change Icon.

Browse to the game’s installation folder (C:\Program Files\XboxGames\BlackOps6 or similar). Select the .exe file and apply the changes.

Next is to check for Windows updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update and install any pending updates.

Then run system file checker. Do this by opening Command Prompt as Administrator.

Type the following command and press Enter: sfc /scannow

Wait for the scan to complete and restart your PC.

[/quote]If you are using IE, favourite the site then drag and drop the icon (favicom) from your favourites list to your desktop or tool bar.

Could just be a specific folder he has for stuff to do with 360 on his PC.

I do it all the time to make the desktop look nice instead of having those arrows for shortcuts on icons. I simply make a folder and then create a nice new shiny icon.

Call of duty is a.launcher for.most. Cod games you would.have to launch within the call of duty app now
