CALL OF DUTY: HALO WARFARE

Everyone starting with the same weapon is fine. But at least make it weapons everyone can use.

Personally I thought Reach did it right.

Different type of game starts like Elite Slayer, Slayer BR and others and each type of start usually had a choice of loadout. It was variety and if I did end up in a slayer BR match I could switch to the secondary weapon which was often an assault rifle.
Halo reach must be doing something right because when I played the other night there were 125,000 people online.

But with masterchief collection I just get the same type of games over and over again. Either team slayer BR which I hate for obvious reasons or classic halo where everyone just ignores other weapons and uses the pistol. It's this that will ruin Halo 5 for
me. I realise it's just a beta and things might improve but so far i'm not impressed with it.

Halo is a very skillful game, and the BR takes a lot of skill to use effectively. The reason halo reach is so popular still is because it's widely considered (by people who understand skill in FPS) as the Halo that takes the least skill to be good at.

Yes, i'm clearly not a skillful player. I play for fun but there is just no fun in being forced to use a weapon I have no skill in.

The big problem though is that everyone uses it. It's just boring everyone using the same gun over and over again. They might as well just remove all other weapons from the game. Whats the point if other weapons existing in Halo if no one ever uses them?

The game just appeals to one type of player. The type who likes using sniper type weapons. Everyone else gets slaughtered. Unless this changes, Halo will never be as big as it has in the past.

The only way this could change is if they rebalance the weapons. The BR is just too over powered. All other weapons are weak in comparison. If you didn't have shields then this wouldn't matter much but it's very difficult to kill someone with an AR when
they are moving around as often emptying an entire clip into someone doesn't kill them.

MCC is a fail. Online games need to start with good momentum, which it didn't and lost a good portion of it's potential population. Higher populations are what bring more playlist variety. I suspect MCC will always have a severely limited playlist. I just
flat out quit playing it (if playing it is even what you can call it), especially since I favor BTB and it's still broke.

 

also I hope in H5 they do away with voting and do it like H2 did. Just pick a map on its own. Voting tends to lead to playing the same games over and over. Without voting, it takes the irritation out of it. Its easier to be mad at people than it is a computer.

 

Yes. If it wasn't for the voting I would probably play the MCC a lot.

As it happens now. It's just BR start after BR start because the hardcore lot only ever vote for that match type.

Some players like myself hate BR starts and just get fed up and stop playing.

It's also annoying that there is no Halo 4 play list as I know i'm a minority but I quite enjoy the multiplayer in that game.

 

It started off with a Halo 4 playlist and was quickly axed due to the problems. I'm surprised it hasn't come back......wait maybe I'm not.

 

Halo 5 beta felt more like Halo meets Destiny. The whole sliding, ground pound. The look down sites perhaps was more COD. I am not a big COD player and have only played Destiny on X360. I bought the COD edition of XBox One really for the extra space
on the hard drive. If there had been a special edition Halo MC XB One with the 1TB drive I'd have bought that instead.
