Call of Duty Ghosts won't play

I put in the disc and I'll get the loading screen with the up lose pic of the soldier then the screen goes black. It worked fine yesterday and other games work.

Downloaded call of duty ghost for the Xbox one but it won't play.

Are there any scratches on your disc? If there is not, you should try re-installing the Title Update. Follow all the steps below in order to install a new Title Update.

-

Uninstall Title Update:

1. Go to your dashboard.

2. Go to settings, and select System

3. Select Storage, and select Hard Drive

4. Select Games and Apps

5. Select Call of Duty: Ghosts

6. Select Call of Duty: Ghosts Title Update and select Delete

Clear your cache:

1. Press 'B' until you are back in Storage Devices

2. Press 'Y' on Hard Drive and select Clear System Cache

Install the Title Update:

> When you start your game, you will be asked to install an update. Choose yes.

Your answer is useless! I follow the instructions & there's no way to get to storage & hard drive,, and COD Ghosts still won't play

 

I too have experienced this... Taking the disk out loading another game sometimes will allow the COD-Ghosts to reload... But definitely something wrong with the console not the game or disk on mine!!!

 

jluvspxo, my answer may not be useless for him. I formatted my answer to help him, and your conflict may be different. It sounds like you have a faulty HDD or you have the 4GB model without a HDD installed if it does not show up.

BlackHornDeath, what problem are you having on your Console?

 

After installed, just press and hold the power button on the console until it shuts off. Turn it back on and go play the game.

 

My issue is not with the install... I have installed it and played it many times... The problem is that I will do something else... Like watch TV and come back to play COD and it loads to a black screen and stops. After multiple try's to load the game,
I will have to either load another game disk to play and then come back to play COD (only works sometimes). Or shut down the whole system and reload it for the game to boot! This is an issue with the XBox One... Not the install or the disk...

 

Hi there, just figured I'd throw in my two cents on this matter.

While the OP's issue is an Xbox One issue and we're in the Xbox 360 section of the support forum this is more for info than anything else.

-

Pressing and holding the Xbox button on the Xbox One is one way of clearing the cache so to speak, this will resolve the issue temporarily. The real issue seems to stem from Instant on mode on the Xbox One.

Instant on mode never lets the Xbox One fully power down and after some time of game playing/ using apps you will start to see these issues with games not launching, controllers not connecting among other things. Changing to Energy saving mode on the Xbox
One seems to stop this happening again. My advice would be to switch to Energy saving mode, sure you lose the ability to have system updates download while you're away from the console and a few other things but that's a small price to pay in my opinion until
such time that this Instant on mode problem is resolved.
