Call of Duty: Ghosts gets drug related DLC!

Clearly the developers know what most of their fan base is into. I've seen more "420" gamertags & the like on just COD online over all other games I played combined.

I'm more annoyed that people actually buy this dlc nonsense. Activision would turn COD into Skylanders if they could. Go into stores to buy specific guns that you place on weapon cache connected to ur console.

I don't want to be racist or nothing, but when I play Ghosts nowadays(which is rarely and usually for the shigs) I see a lot of swag and 420 and caps gamertag. I don't know about you guys but whenever I see gamertags with those, it's usually a black guy.
So I check the profile.. and what do you know? Black guy. Sure, maybe not every gamertag with that category is a black guy, but there's plenty. There's also plenty of white guys that think having swag and being "dope" is cool. I'm just like.. /facepalm. I
hope I didn't come off as racist cause I wasn't trying to lol. This doesn't come off as a surprise doe. They're literally milking Ghosts to death with all the microtransactions. So sad.

 

Lol, I've never been banned from this forum (except at my own request), but clearly, f I went out of my way to say something like that to you, then you probably deserved it. Especially taking into account that in general I'm pretty passive.

And, quite clearly, I said you were being antagonistic, I did not accuse you of attacking me. I think if you did that you've been around long enough to know I'd give you as good as you get.

And I've quite clearly stated that I used to smoke. I have many friends who still smoke. Among other experiences (including dealing with drugs in the military). That is how I know what it does and what it doesn't do. On it's own or with anything else. Stop
reading selectively, or stop choosing to believe what you want to.

Regardless of how hard you try and pick an argument apart, no matter how hard you try and antagonise someone during your debate, you haven't given anyone one here one legitimate reason why it's actually ok to promote an illegal substance in such a manner
other than for the fact that you smoke it, enjoy it, that it's legal in a couple of states and personally think it's harmless.

Sorry dude, but that's never really going to change my stance on the subject. I don't agree with the promotion of illegal substances. You can say whatever you like about that, but it's not going to change my stance at all.

 

I have no problem with the DLC, it's supposed to be an adults game, I know that children play it, but that's the parents problem, if there's content they don't approve of, don't let junior play.

The big difference is that COD got nothing related with drugs.....Seems Activision went off topic,this time.....Or maybe a reference to Snoop(y) Dog & EM&NS....

I'm with Sword and 24 on this . It's hypocritical of any gamer to start being outraged at something illegal being promoted and made to look cool in a game. Bank jobs, torture, in game drug abuse, I'm sure most of us have done these things and worse in
games we have loved.

 

@Sword, & 24, I agree with a lot of what you have said on this subject... But in Fact there are only a few chemicals in the product Marijuana that are beneficial to the human body. (THC) the chemical that for short makes you feel good. (CBD) the chemical
that actually has medical benefit to the human body. Now we could talk on the two chems for hours but in short they are As you say (Virtually) "Harmless"

Smoking marihuana I don't care how you put it is bad for you. The inhalation of smoke and heat do long term damage to your lungs and throat. The bits of plant matter that break off and fly down ones throat while inhaling also can have negative affect on
ones body.

My point is marijuana the plant is indeed bad for you, now Thc and CBD if ingested into the body healthily and Correctly can be highly beneficial to the longevity and moral of ones life span.

@ Goth - Killing others mindlessly isn't a big problem among young adults.....drugs are.

So theres a difference in context here. Not every 15 year old that sees killing in COD is gonna go out and do b/c he thinks it's cool...drugs on the other hand...is a big possibility.

 

@Listed. No one said that marijuana isn't unhealthy. So is soda, Big Macs, and pastries. Forget about cigarettes and alcohol. As as I've already stated in this thread, moderation is key. The issue here is that this guy is trying to put marijuana on the same
level as drugs like heroine and meth which is so far beyond foolish that it's an insult to fools. Unhealthy or not, no one ever overdosed off marijuana. No one ever blacked out and got sexually assaulted off marijuana. No one ever got addicted to marijuana
and started selling their body on street corners.

 

I have no issues with marijuana being in video games, but what does marijuana have to do with Call of Duty: Ghosts?. My opinion may be clouded because I'm a police constable and in the UK a couple of years ago Cannabis went from
a class C to a class B drug. Now while I dislike marijuana, I would rather deal with someone under the influence of cannabis than someone who is drunk.

The reason I would hate for the Government over here to legalise marijuana is because we will most likely see road "accidents" increase.

Weapons,drugs,murders,.....can be in a game.But that depend in which game, "Blunt DLC" in COD ?

What's next ? Tomb Raider "cocaine DLC" ? Mario " AK 47 DLC" ? Halo "Cortana pole dance DLC" ?
