Call of Duty Ghost Cross DLC Discussion.

Hi

I have to say that Activisions docs on the whole cross platform thing were a joke and ever a group of school kids could have done it better.

I have been on support for over 4 hours with Activision and Xbox. on live chat.

Other people have done the same, putting the DLC code into the xbox one, and then not getting the dlc on the 360, yet if you had put the code into the 360 you would get the DLC on xbox as well.

Now both Xbox and Activision should be able to sort this out, and neither are willing to.

Activision state they don't have access to generate the codes, or have any passed and therefore contact Xbox.

Xbox say contact activision to give you a code.

I was all for blaming activision, and to an extent it is, but after reading a link provided by activision,

It states that its MS policy that entering the code into the XO will not give you access to the DLC for the 360.

So I questioned this on the Xox support and they confirmed this, and asked didn't I think it was great that people who have the 360 have then have the dlc on the XO, to which I explain all my friends who don't have the XO, now have access to my DLC, and yet
I paid £500 and use the XO as my main console doesn't, yet it costs us the same, so where is my other half of the DLC, to which she couldn't help.

To feed the PS fanboys, its fine on the PS3/4.

I mean who in their right mind, thought, right the people who bought the XO and kept their 360 would think, ah I know I will replug in my 360 so I can download content onto my new £500 console, to make sure I can play it on both, when nothing has been written
on any documentation that is clear enough for anyone to understand (I have said the last part because activision seem to think its about backward compatability and transferable and its not about either)

I was already annoyed over COD, but activisions support haven't helped, but is is Xbox or Activision at fault?

Xbox survers??

Call Of Duty Ghosts will not be supporting cross platform play between Xbox 360 and Xbox One players. Which means you cannot play with people who bought Ghosts on 360.

 

Only works from 360 to Xbox One not the other way. If you want the DLC on 360 you have to buy the DLC again.

 

I have read the call of duty upgrade FAQ several hundred times since November 5th 2013 which can be found here
m.callofduty.com/.../nextgen and nowhere on that page does it talk about downgrading fron XB1 to 360. One could assume that it would work but we all know what happens when you assume. In my
opinion IW and MS believed that gamers would be upgrading and not downgrading. Meaning you'd be going from 360 to XB1 and not the other way around. Usually things like this are clearly defined which this was. In the future please research and read all available
information concerning a subject, especially one that deals with $50 worth of digital content that is non-refundable. #LessonLearned

 

OP the problem here lies in some people have managed to go bk and forward from 360 to xb1,xb1 to 360.

This is the actual fault and time will catch up on them.

What the other guys have said I fully back as this is correct,1 way from 360 to xb1 and done.

The problem is with Activisions IMO. I bought the dual licence edition, which shows a clear intention of going back and forth between consoles, when XO was release I was the one of 3 people on my friends list of 100 to get the xbox one.

The link in the OP was release end of Jan, and no where does it clearly state it won't work the other way round.

all the activision information talks about upgrading, which assumes you are moving from one to another, and transfer which again assume one way movement.

No where on the pass does it state the content will work on both consoles but I need to insert it into the 360.

I am not paying for another pass.

it doesn't which you download it on first, it matter (for me and many others) which console you enter the code into
