call of duty ghost? bring back friendly fire.. PLEASE.lol

Friendly fire should be brought back in full force, as was designed in the release of the Modern Warfare 3 in the beginning, before they changed it to the way it is now?

I am slaughtering and obtaining a super killstreak, when teammates run out in front of our bullet spray, like an idiot, and we take the death and penalty for that? Why?

Furthermore, your own teammates have the ability to destroy our own teammates ballistic vest, and any other type of helpful devices used to gain the advantage over the opposing team... sat com, vests, our ied, ammo crates, anything we throw down, our own
teammates can get jealous or mad at their own, and destroy these such advantages, giving the opposing team the advantage,.. Bring back friendly fire and stop this madness..PLEASE..

IW games are ricochet, Treyarch games are friendly fire. Always been that way, and probably always will.

 

Hasn't always been that way. IW provided "ricochet" via update in MW 2. It was in response to team killing. Remember whole teams getting rpg'd by one idiot in the beginning of Search & Destroy rounds?

In COD 4, they first did the really long wait time to respawn for team killers. Remember "Team Killing Will Not Be Tolerated," and you would wait like 60 seconds respawn. Well, this discouraged team killing morons, but didn't entirely eliminate the problem.
Treyarch adopted this system in Black Ops, but by Black Ops 2, you simply got kicked after the 3rd team kill.

 

I prefer 'ricochet' cos I could'nt tell you how many times I got kicked off maps in 'BLops', all because my own team mate would run out infront of me or because my 'kill streak' has accidentally wiped out a team mate. I would rather just die than get kicked
off a map at the end of the day.

I agree with your point about your own team mates destroying your equipment, I've had my own team mates shooting down my own helicopters & its fooking annoying! I think ricochet should work for equipment aswell.

 

Ricochet is much better. The other way was terrible, nothing more aggrevating than EARNING a care package only to have some random idiot on your team come over and shoot you so they can take it.

 

^^Yes. stuff like that really hurt the cod community and its reputation, as it brought out the worst in ppl quite often. It reached a low point of lobbys sounding worse than a Springer episode. Ricochet being the only available solution, slowly ended that
nightmare..

 

I prefer ricochet on the rare occasion I play HC. Team killing on purpose really ruins the game for me. I lost count of the amount of times I was team killed for a care package.

[/quote] Now I'm not looking for a fight here but First) try not to "spray" your bullets controlled bursts work wonders, at least for me they do (24+% accuracy for most full auto guns I use and almost 30% overall) so if your burst firing you'll have more time
to react to a friendly hit. Second) What IW could do is try and find a common middle ground here is give players slightly higher health when shooting friendlys to give more reaction time to the mistake.

 

I prefer friendly fire just because I think hc is supposed to be more realistic and require more thinking.

The argument could be made either way as far as "other" people being able to scr8w you over by exploiting whatever system is in use. but either way ... as D34TH meantioned ... being careful yourself is the best solution.



It does seem to me that in ghosts it takes more to kill yourself by shooting a teammate than it does to kill an enemy.

All I said is there should be a 10ft kill zone, after that its not your fault for F/F to a point......

 

I just got back into after 25 years. If they bring back "friendly fire" I'll have a 4 thousand more kills!!!!

 

Ricochet can be annoying for many reasons. I spend most of my time now playing S&R, I like to use IEDs. I have been taken out of the round on numerous occasions due to teammates standing directly on my IEDs when an enemy pops in or they decide to sit close
to it which still gets me killed either way. I didn't purposely try to kill a teammate, that wasn't my fault. It's his / her own for standing near my IED in the first place so why am I the one to receive punishment? Another annoying little thing is the poor
name registration, in hardcore I tend to use the thermal hybrid scope. It is beyond annoying when I'm sitting behind something, possibly leaning, defending the bomb or just waiting for an enemy who I know will be coming in that direction and a teammate randomly
pops out. I don't know this because the name registration (Above head) doesn't pop up for QUITE some time. In the end, I'll shoot to take out the enemy in because I use DMRs I end up one bombing myself out of the round like an idiot. Last but not least, special
care packages. Thinks like the mortar strike on Warhawk are incredibly annoying to get on HC because I find myself receiving death after death due to teammates carelessly running out to flush out the enemies hiding indoors. Why didn't they allow things like
mortar strikes to simply avoid ricochet and team-killing? However, team-killing is pathetic and people will do it to annoy people, troll them and steal their care packages so I'd rather just put up with ricochet, however it does need to be tweaked a little
bit.

 

If you guys dont like Richochet, play core modes, easy really.
