Call Of Duty ColdWar - won’t let me go past the “press A to start”

Hi. I have had this issue for 3 months now in the hope an update would sort things out. When I try to play the game it will give me 2 options:

Will try to login to the game and then freeze, won’t let me go any further.

Or

Log me in to a local server and when I press X to switch over it tries to charge me for the full game even though the disc is in.

For a game I had to pay £60 for I wouldn’t expect this to happen. It is a very buggy game as it is let alone not being able to play the multiplayer for a handful of months.

I have read up on the answers given previously to this and none of them helped.

Any form of info would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the game crashing. Please try going into your console display settings and turn off 4K and auto HDR then enable 4:2:2.

This has worked for others.

Yes it freezing doing the update won’t let the update go past 73% then takes me to the trouble shoot page and give me a long number starting with E102

that was something I thought about trying at first but unfortunately I have to be able to get past the start screen in order to start a new game which it won’t let me do. The game won’t allow me to open it without having enternet connection.

I had the same issue. Uninstalled and then reinstalled it. Nothing. Shut off Xbox and unplugged for 5 minutes as recommended. Nothing. It keeps popping up as Warzone and not the actual Modern Warfare 2 title screen like it’s supposed to. Uninstalled Warzone and now I still can’t past the actual Call of Duty title screen. Says “press A to start” and nothing happens. Bought the Vault edition the other day and I’m hoping I didn’t waste $80 on a game I won’t beable to play.
