Call of Duty Cold War, cannot update or install game

Discus and support Call of Duty Cold War, cannot update or install game in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I am sure this has been posted several times already but getting a little desperate now.     Call of Duty Cold War, cannot update or install game


    I am sure this has been posted several times already but getting a little desperate now.

    Feb an update dropped for COD and it failed. So restarted the console and now the game will not open, update or install.

    At first I thought it was the DVD, so cleaned it. No joy. Replaced the disc for a brand new one, same error.

    Then I tried pretty much everything.

    1. Uninstalled it and tried reinstalling it.It does the packs but not the core game. Says Installtion stopped.

    2. Tried installing it on an external hard drive ( more room) , same error

    3. Then reset the whole console (kept games ), uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, Same error.

    So here we are on, a month later and whilst I can play other games on my xbox, this expensive game is now usless.

    Not sure if this is a developer issue or an xbox issue.

    So help please as I simply have this disc which cost a lot, utterly usless.

    How come when I open call of duty black ops coldwar a pop up appears saying purchase game then another pop up appears saying game already installed but still wont let me play mind you I own this game.

    Go to "My games and apps" > Installed games > Highlight the game > Press the Menu button > Go to "manage games and add-ons" > Click the game icon.

    Make sure that these packs are installed:

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 1

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 2

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 3

    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War - Content Pack 4

    What version of the game have you purchased? The series X/S versions will not be available to Pre-install until November 10th 2020 according to the following:

    Without further information I cannot pin down the exact issue but hope this works for you!

    Hi!

    Maybe you have the Xbox One version of COD Cold War and you see that message because the Xbox One version cannot be upgraded to Xbox Series X. You can find more informations about COD Cold War editions here:
