    Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross Gen Bundle


    I purchased a Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Cross Gen Bundle on the June 17th, and the payment went through, it fully installed, but once I tried to play it, it prompted me to purchase the game again. I waited a day and tried again, and it seemed as if maybe the game server was just down so I contacted support. They had me do several task to troubleshoot the Xbox but nothing worked. At the end of the call, they asked that I be patient to see if maybe it would start working after another day or so. Now, today I noticed it still wasn’t working, contacted support again, only this time they went into my account to see if they could get it to work on their end but it still asked that the game be purchased. In an attempt to resolve the issue they accredited $70 to my Xbox account and said to try it again. I just purchased the game once again, and It literally did the exact same thing all over again.

    Call of Duty Black ops Upgrade to X/S

    From what I can tell, to access the Series X version of the game, you need the Cross-Gen bundle...once you buy that, you should then be able to download and install the Series X version. Without the cross-gen bundle it will, presumably, just install the XB1 version

    From the Store page:

    "For digital owners of the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Standard Edition, this upgrade will unlock the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War Cross-Gen Bundle, giving access to the Xbox Series X|S version of the game. After upgrade purchase, search in the Xbox store for the Call of Duty®: Black Ops Cold War - Cross-Gen Bundle to install the Xbox Series X|S version of the game."

    Looks like you can upgrade to the cross-gen bundle:

    Once you have this you'll need to go to the Mircosoft Store on your Xbox and re-download the Series X|S version.

    Hi, unfortunately not, if you have the Standard version for One S and One X, you will need the cross gen bunddle that activision has released
