Gave in and bought the digital version! Your right Lofty, its taking forever to download. 3hrs and im at 16% on a 150mb d / l speed..guess its getting hammered!

I know a mate of mine who gets around 50mb download got to about 4% after 2 hours lol. In the end he deleted it, went offline to install, then connect to do any updates.

Not sure how he's getting on, not spoke to him since.

I might consider the bare bones game but I'm not falling for full bells and whistles DLC again anytime soon.

 

A solid shooter ruined by stupid space jumping...ridiculous

 

The junping in halo is the worst thing about it.

It looks stupid feels stupid and adds nothing to the game. You aim at someone and all that happens is people leap around like zebedee. It's just lame. I've no idea why people think it's good, it's bad enough in regular call of dity when people you shoot
at start leaping 6' in the air. It's way too arcadey.

So obviously they've made that a feature of this, where everyone will no doubt be leaping around like rabbits.

 

Well I've done the first mission of 2 and some multiplayer on both my consoles PS4 and Xboxone. There really is not much in it as to which is the "better" version. The PS4 version looks a bit nicer and plays smoother but nothing for anyone to feel they're
missing out on.

So I will probably play the PS4 version mostly as it just runs the bit smoother and crisper.

 

Not even interested in the single player this year. Still got ghosts sat there collecting dust. Destiny is a solid enough shooter to keep me going until Rainbow Six.

As for COD, had a quick go of the MP whilst visiting my son this evening, after 20 minutes I knew like most before ( apart from COD 2 and 4 ) it just isn't for me.

I do like the look of the campaign and hopefully the co-op mode should be good for a laugh, mind you can't see myself getting pulled away from Sunset Overdrive anytime soon

 

I watched a fair few twitch feeds over the weekend and thought no this game isn't for me, I'm not going to like all that jumping around in a Cod game. But I bit the bullet mainly because I picked up a day zero copy for the Xbox One for £29.99. My expectations
were not too high especially as I didn't go a bundle on the last 2 Cod games. But I'm surprised just how much I'm liking Advanced Warfare. Right from the word go everything about the game felt right. Now I only play multiplayer so I can only go on that but
I feel at £29.99 at Sainsbury's, I have a bargain.

 

I'll be picking it up Thursday with some MS credit from Tesco. That'll sort out Halo as well!

Hopefully the install issues will be sorted by then. Lol

 

@Fear The Doctor. If your talking about the Xbox One install issues it's easy to work around. Just don't accept the update whilst installing the game. Update after install when you begin the game for the first time. That sorts it.

 

I've watched some twitch feeds and it looks entertaining enough.

The jump feature give you a boost on a jump or a quick shift to the left or right.

Hardly the "bunny-hop" fest that people not playing the game would like for you to believe.

Not gonna pay twice for this game though with all that Season Pass malarkey.

I did that for "Ghosts" and "Battlefield" and while I used the content I seriously would not have been any poorer for having missed out on it.

 

Just worth mentioning due to all the focus on the new abilities, the multiplayer has "classic" game types with no Exo abilities.

 

Why would i touch this game when Halo is out soon...

 

Exactly. Halo out on Tuesday 100 maps = me busy for a very long time!
