Call of Duty 2014 reveal dated for 4th May - "a new era arrives" on Xbox One

this is why the old IW team (now respawn) took activision to court because they fort it was there game and they wanted to take it away from activison. GG i counted 3 because the portable games suck

 

slegehammer have already said that they are using a brand new engine the new COD will only be on next gen and pc last gen is being made by blue moon

 

Really? I could have sworn the developers for CoD:AW already said it would also be available on the Xbox 360...

 

it is but slegehammer isn tmaking it for last gen they r doing a respawn and making it just for this gen blu emoon are making it for last gen

 

although a bit premature, will 3arc use the same engine etc that sledgehammer use or will they also go for a new one?

One thing that really grinds now about COD, is the inconsistencies of the basics between developers.

 

New engine? Well that sounds promising at the least. Enen raises a good point, I think 3arc would do well at creating their own engine rather than announcing they are working on an improved version all the time. 3 years is enough time right?

 

Actually i would like franchise to have a core developer who developers the engine, netcode and all basics, then have designer studios to build and design the game on it.

I mean why doesn't ghost have theatre and better stats? but I doubt sledge hammer will have the thearte.

IMO 3 developers with the current setup with just spread out the good points and not combine them.

 

the engine will be used by all 3 devs because its owned by activision treyarch have more then 3 years new engine and slegehammer are only working on this gen

when game studios write a plot that has me saving the US govt make sure i like it the way it is.......

unless the story allows me a choice of who i want to ally my skills with ill pass am bored with the futuristic gadget save the US Govt.....from (fill in the blank)____________ shooters..........ill stick with open world games.......these linear follow the
yellow brick road shooters are becoming increasingly boring and copied.......

 

Not buying this time, when a ww2 one comes out with no perks and just set classes then ill come back but until that point i'm not interested in a no skill brainless game.

 

Still unsure myself about it. If enough of you guys get it and want a few rounds then I would probably pick it up preowned but I wont pay full whack for it. No way. Its encouraging to read about the engine to some degree though. A WW2 one with no perks is
a winner and instant buy for me. If that ever happens.
