cable won't play through Xbox!!!!

I can't figure this crap out. The TV comes up but is very glitchy. The most it will play for without skipping or freezing is about 5 seconds. And there is no sound at all. I'm using all HDMI cords. It is a year or two old but it says hi speed on it and it
works fine going from cable directly to TV.

I have a vizio TV. Cablevision service with a Samsung smt-c5320 box.

Any help would be awesome!

NFL App

Your only watching what you already receive through your cable subscriber...if you don't have a cable or satellite box, and don't already get the NFL games you won't get it through the xbox one.

HDMI Pass Through

People have the misconception of HDMI pass through. All this means is that the HDMI signal from your cable box is "passed through" the Xbox one. If your Xbox isn't on, it won't be able to pass the signal through.

I have a few questions for you to narrow down the possible issues.

1. Make/Model of cable box

2. Layout (example: cable box HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV)

Sorry to hear about the issues, post back the information and I will post a few possibilities. Other thing you can test in the meantime: make sure all your HDMI cables are 2.0 or better.

We are having the same issues. We have had the console since Day 1 and it used to happen 1-2 times per week, but has been down now for the last few days.

We have cable and a audio-video receiver.

Cable is AT&T Uverse.

Reciever is a Denon.

We have the Uverse connected to the XBOX, XBOX connected to the Denon and Denon to the TV.

All through HDMI cables.

If there isn't enough data flowing through the cable then it won't support it. ATM everything is pointing to the cable.

It's DRM protection on the DVD's part. If you're using a pass through device (such as an HDPVR), then you won't be able to play DVDs. If it's directly to your TV, then it could be your HDMI cable, or your TV.

Yes, it's a simple power cable and HDMI cable, that's all you need, I don't know of anything that won't run sound through the HDMI cable, in fact the sound will be better than with the old AV cable.
