Cable box re-start

After the July update, I have noticed when I turn my TV off, come back and turn it back on, I get the message "we have lost connection to your device" (cable box). I have to turn off the cable and turn it back on. Not a big deal but never had to do this
before the update.

Start xbox and launch TV full screen

Hello,

I connect my cable box on the xbox and it works well. I was just wondering if I can set-up the xbox so each time I start it will open the TV in full screen mode?

80% of the time I start the tv is to watch cable and I don't want to spend more time on asking "Xbox watch TV".

If not possible I will re-connect the cable box directly on my TV and use xbox only to play games.

New feature: HDMI in?

I'm pretty sure its the port for the cable box to plugin to your Xbox One console. As they said in the briefing stream, they're partnering with cable companies, not taking them over or forming anything of there own. They will allow the Xbox One console to work with existing cable boxes. So, in order for that to be possible, you need an HDMI in port.

Hey king, before you turn the box off to reset it wait a couple of minutes. I get the same message myself but then it comes back on. Also instead of unplugging the box try quitting the tv app the restarting the app again.

Mine started doing this after the last xbox one patch a few days ago. Nothing listed here worked. Changing power down from instant on to energy saving then shutting down and re booting solved it. As I understand doing so changes the reboot state (completely
re boots.). I re-enabled instant on afterwards problem didn't come back. (My cable box is set to 1080i that wasn't it.)

So I re checked all the cables and including power and restarted the x-box. It is working again now. Thank you for all you help.

I am having problems with my TV freezing as of the 21 Oct up date it was fine before that I have dun a cold restart changed settings on my cable box and even reinstalled the cable box from the start

I have the same issue, using Comcast Motorola box and a Westinghouse LD4255vx TV and we have changed the cables, it starts out with no flicker then starts flickering. Once it starts, nothing seems to stop the flickering except changing the cable.
