Bye Bye Xbox one.

After more than a year in my living room, I've finally had enough. The Xbox one is coming out. I was an early adopter, so I was willing to put up with bugs but it's has gotten worse, much worse. It's so bad I need to restart the the thing each time I want
to watch TV or Netflix. List of issues are;

- Voice Recognition works 25% of the time

- Slow

- Netflix App only works once after a reboot

- UI Makes no sense

- Youtube App becomes unresponsive

- Unreliable Network (need to connect to Xbox Live to do pretty much anything, even watch local media on Plex)

- HDMI passthru black screen al least once an hour

- updates break common apps and takes days or weeks for developers to catch up.

It was a great idea, but the execution was horrible. Back to the basement TV it goes.

I'll be leaving my Xbox for a few weeks in a month's time for the same reasons, but I'm also taking my laptop to University, so I should still have the odd visit on here. I'll be taking my Xbox with me a few weeks later, after I've got to know my housemates
and trusted them. I'll only be 40 miles away from my original home, so it shouldn't be too hard taking things.

Sorry you're having issues with some of the Xbox features. Did you want help with any of these issues? I personally don't have any of the issues you're stating, so I'm guessing with most everything except the understanding of the UI the community can help
with.

 

I have similar problems with netflix on occasion, when I start the app it's starts up fine but freezes at the profiles. What I do then is that I push the xbox button so I get out to the main ui. Then I press start button and chooses to end the app. Then
I relaunch Netflix it it works everytime. Sure it is a hustle, but I can live with it.

You can do the same on all the apps if any is freezing.

 

I have 4 Xbox Ones and don't have any of these issues.

 

Lets try not gloating about about someone needing support thanks.
