    Buzzing in Headset - Xbox Series X


    Hi all,

    I have my Bose Quiet Comfort 35 headphones connected to my Xbox controller through a third-party cable that has an inline microphone. There is a buzzing in the left headphone speaker. What makes this interesting, is the buzzing goes away when I when turn the headset volume up to almost full volume (in the headphone volume control app on Xbox). It sounds great, it's just super loud.

    Does anyone have any advice? I could try the Dolby or other surround apps but I don't really want to pay for a service just to not have the buzzing. I can negate the buzzing by connecting the headphones into my monitor (sound then runs from Xbox to monitor via HDMI then to headphones) but I lose my ability to have a microphone. I could buy a new headset but these Bose QC35s have been great for PC and PS4. I don't really want a headset just for the Xbox.

    Hello JevyG, despite the Headset you use, you've tried to change cable or even control, this may be some bad contact on the cable or even the controller.

    I understand you about the xbox license.

    I rather not want to have a wireless headset because I dont like charging and the battery life will decrease over time. So that leave me with two options:
    1. Wired, 3.5mm into the Xbox series x controller
    2. Wired, usb, into the Xbox series X

    I checked the microsoft store and there are only 2 compatible series X headsets. Both wireles.

    Do you know any wired Xbox series X headset? That is compatible with the series x? I prefer USB but have to go 3.5mm otherwise.

    Xbox Series X - even with the console fully shut down, if I place my ear at the top I can hear a buzz like there’s a current. No fan spinning etc.
