Buying Xbox One digital game works on Xbox 360?

This is kind of a tough question to word correctly. I have the physical copy of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Destiny on the 360. If I buy the digital copy of these games on the Xbox One, will I be able to download the digital copy on the 360? I know
if you bought the digital version on the 360 you can upgrade to the digital edition for the One. I'm just not sure if it works in reverse.

Bought 100 games and never earned a point since 2012

hey guys,

My biggest issue is that i keep on buying xbox one digital games and never earned a point , contacted the support live chat several times but nothing seems to be work , nothing changed, i keep on buying new games and didn't earn a single point , please
help

Hi!

It's strange what happened. Play Anywhere works on X1 and PC only with digital purchases and not with physical disc. There is also written explicitly on the
site: "when you own an Xbox Play Anywhere digital title, it's yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC". Try asking for a refund for the game and buying it in digital
version from the store.

Unfortunately no you cannot purchase the Xbox One version of a game digitally and play it on an Xbox 360. The license that your purchase for that game is for the specific console. The upgrading that you mentioned was deals that they had going on around the
release of the Xbox One to entice people to upgrade their console.

Man, that sucks. Now I have to buy the Xbox One version, then have to buy it again if I end up breaking or selling my 360 version? GAHH. I guess they're not called M$ for nothing.

Unfortunately yeah you have to repurchase it, but in my opinion Destiny is worth it. I haven't played enough Advanced Warfare to have an opinion. I've only played through the campaign once.

No. Xbox 360 and Xbox One games are still separate.

However, certain games (Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4) are running promotions where if you buy the digital version on the 360, you can buy the digital version on the One for the reduced price of $10/£10

Q. When I upgrade from digital download for Xbox 360 to digital download for Xbox One, will my digital Xbox 360 game license be deactivated?

A. No, Xbox 360 game license will not be deactivated. Both game licenses will be retained.

This essentially means that should you buy the license, you will be buying the game for both consoles simultaneously. Sweet idea?

Yes. Apparently if you buy it on the 360 you get Destiny on the Xbox one as well. However, it does not seem to work the other way around. If you buy it for the Xbox one, you DO NOT get the 360 digital download.
