Buying Xbox cards at stores

Good morning,

i went to game stop on yesterday to purchase a $50 card so i can buy vbucks they said the cards are not scanning, we then went to walmart and the cashier had the same issue. We ended up at best buy and the guys could not scan the cards, they kept getting
an error that the xbox cards are not readable. Has this issue been fixed????

Xbox Live Gold Membership

I was wondering if it would be possible at all if i could send xbox money for a gold membership instead of using a credit card or buying a card at a store?

I have $10 and I can't buy a month gold at a store because only 3 months is available, and I don't have a credit card to buy it online so I was wondering if there was an address I can send $10 cash to them instead of buying a card or using a credit card?

Either use a vpn and pay by card, or go to the Russian MS store and buy Xbox Live Gift cards and then use the credit from them.

Thank you for reaching out about this, this is not a very usual occurrence. I recommend trying again at a retailer 24 hours after the first attempt. Also, our online store is available to purchase

Microsoft Currency tokens as well.

Hi, my understanding is that there was a widespread issue yesterday affecting purchasing and redeeming gift cards, and that issue has since been resolved. I'm guessing the issues these stores were having were related to this widespread purchasing outage,
so I think you're good to try again now, though I'd recommend calling ahead just to make sure things are working again on their end.

 

That’s really strange. I’d call them before you go back.

 

As others have suggested, leave it a day or so before you try to purchase the cards again, you could also just call the store, and ask if the issue is still persisting before you go in.
