Try buying it from an xbox 360 console, or on Xbox.com. And then it should appear in your "ready to install" list on Xbox One.

 

yeah, but they don't use "microsoft points" anymore, it's just a currency value added to your Microsoft Account. for example if you have a 400 point card, which cost $5, it will add that amount to your account. when you go to buy the game on xbox.com,
if you have money in your Microsoft Account, you can choose that as a payment option. if there is not enough to cover the whole purchase, then you will be prompted to pay the remainder with another payment method (like paypal or a debit card).

 

Actually no. The website is not set up to work with the currency system for purchasing 360 content. You would have to make the purchase via a 360 console in order to use your Microsoft account balance.

 

oh that's right. very sorry. i totally forgot that you couldn't do that through the website. i remember now wondering why i could not choose my Microsoft Account as the payment method. i'll be sure to remember in case this question comes up again in
