Buying used console with downloaded game

I'm looking at buying a used console. It has Forza 5 installed on it which was a downloadable copy which came with the console when purchased.

My question is: If I buy this console and log in using my user info will the game still be accesible on the console?

Buy it as if there were no games on it (price wise). As others stated, you might have access if the owner never transfers his account, but I would not count on it.

Like Smwutches said if it is set as the home console you will have access to the games, they don't need their gamertag on the console, when I sold mine, I did the same thing and the other individual had access to the digital games I had bought without my
gamertag being on the system.

 

Probably not, but someone else will chime in to confirm or deny. Pretty sure that there was a code included with the console...if the original purchaser entered the code under their account, then that is the account it "sticks" to.

 

That's what makes sense to me but I wanted to hear from others first.

For the price he's posted he says the console comes with "two" games, one of them being this downloaded Forza 5 that will useless to anyone else but him.

Yeah if they are digital downloads and he has used them then they are tied to his account. You would have to repurchase them if you wanted to play them.

Make sure you know the history of the console usage as well. In NZ and elsewhere on popular online sites, they sell second hand consoles even which could be modified inside. That's why it's best to buy from an authorized retailer. They may be a bit more
expensive but best to know your console is geniune and new and comes with a 12 month warranty. Heard you could get banned even by just innocently signing in to a console which could of had it's internals modified. Yes there are those sorts of peps out there
who do this to consoles. As for digital downloads Xbox does have usage restrictions as others have wrote above.

 

It kind of depends honestly...like if you lost your log info, but your profile was on the console, and that console was made home gold, then anybody that played on that console could play it. But other than that, definitely account bound.

 

It's a pity it wasn't on a disc. Then you could play it. Have fun with the console though.
