    Buying the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020


    Ok, I saw this on a thread, but unfortunetly, it got locked. Also, it was questions and answers from 2021 and not 2022. Things may have changed.

    My question is this. I am enjoying playing Microsoft Flight Sim on PC. I have an active Ultimate membership on my Xbox account. This enables me to play this game 'free ' as it were.

    Now, I feel that I want to purchase the Deluxe premium package as I am drifting away from my Xbox and mainly play on the PC now. So, I will be cancelling

    my Xbox Ultimate pass. I read on other threads that purchasing any of the Flight Sim packages will only work if you have an active Xbox pass.

    My question is this. What if I cancel my Ultimate pass and wait till I no longer have any pass time on xbox and then purchase the flight sim, will I have to go

    and purchase a pass on the Xbox to play it?

    I know it sounds silly, but I have seen answers on here to say that you need a valid pass to play it, as the deluxe game is only an upgrade and does not include the base game. As I will probably not be playing the Xbox any more
