Buying something directly on the Xbox is a thrill (Purchase-Error)

So yeah, chances are you never encountered this. But I do and it happened on my Xbox One All Digital and on my Series S. You turn on the console, you see a nice sale and you want to buy something. You make the purchase and you get an error message like "This shouldn't have happened, try again later". When you try to make the purchase again, it shows you that you already own this product. But the game won't show up in your library. This happened with a few games now but just recently yesterday with Diablo II Resurrected. Purchases the game, error message, a few minutes later I was billed by PayPal and recieved a Mail from Microsoft about my order. On the console itself, it still showed me the price and the option to purchase the game and it did not showed up in my games library (but it was at least shown in my Microsoft Account).

This happened also with a few 360 games. A few months ago with Oblivion, it took them 3 days and a horrible customer service (a side notice: There is no german customer support, the guys working there are only equipped with a fucking translator and don't speak a single own word german when you reach out to the chat) until my license showed up on the console. Another time, this was on Xbox One, the same happened when I bought another 360 game, Lightning Returns. Took them 2 days to make it work.

So yesterday, when I purchased Diablo II, I called Microsoft because I hoped that their german telephone support is a little better than their chat. A man with such a heavy european accent answered my call and this time, I couldn't switch to english because the dude on the phone was not an english speaker. Since I do not speak a single word of any eastern europe language, we had to go with his brolen german.

What he told me is that this is a known issue and that there is a solution. Clearing the MAC-Adress and clearing the cache which means turn off the console completely and plug out the power cord and wait 15 minutes. I've done this and it worked, fortunately.

But yeah, are they serious? This was in a little over 2 years since I own Xbox products again the fifth time this happened. Like I said, this is even worse when it comes to 360 titles because the customer service have to unlock it manually on the consoles. This never happened on any other Console or PC. It's simply bad. There are other bugs and I don't wanna even talk about the embarassing translator german on the german Xbox store, and I ask myself if we are really talking about one of the richest companies in the world. While I enjoyed my Xbox One and now my Series S, this is simply a bad experience. Nowadays I randomly test a few of my games that are available in Game Pass (currently I don't have a Game Pass Sub) just to test if my license is still working.
