Buying new Xbox Series X and recovering Xbox One data with it.

Hello, I have a question about the Xbox Series X coming soon. Questions like this may have been asked already, but I'm having a hard time finding the specific answer I'm looking for so I will put mine in an elaborate form as carefully as possible.

Sometime ago I sold my Xbox One with all the physical games I had for it, but there was plenty of digital content that was purchased for some of them under my microsoft account from day one when I signed on with that account. Can I be able to redownload my
digital content and memory of the games I owned for the Xbox One onto the Series X for when it comes out without needing to do a physical transfer between consoles via external hard drive?

I understand if for the physical versions that I need the discs(Or unless if I were to purchase the digital versions with an internet connection under my microsoft account.), but I'm wondering if when I sign on with the microsoft account I can be able to simply
redownload the content of the games I played under that account onto the new unit when it comes. Because so far the only safe way I know right now is if I were to buy a used Xbox One to sign in to redownload the progress and content under that account to backup
onto an external hard drive before transferring over to the new system.
