Buying Minecraft with Microsoft account credits.

The entire buying process is misleading. First they make parents think that they have to give kids Microsoft credit to by pass the purchasing block and second they direct this page to make parents believe Microsoft account is capable buying Minecraft.

Oddly Enough, when I went through this disappointing adventure in e-commerce/gaming futility, I was trying to purchase a copy of Minecraft for the Mac in the house. I’m sure if it was Apple selling Minecraft, they would let you use your Apple Cash or ITunes credits easily. I’m sure in the case of Microsoft money and Mojang purchases, it probably has something to do with Mojang being in Europe and Microsoft credits not being accepted for some stupid trade agreements or something. It sure would be nice if they had a disclaimer or something up front that said putting money in a kids account won’t get them Minecraft, even though it can get them Minecoins! Good grief! It’s not like I’m trying to pay with Dogecoin or something!

If anyone reading this thread would please add to it. Perhaps we could make it massive enough that someone from Microsoft actually responds. Obviously we know Microsoft’s answer to this is: “money added to a child’s account is not accepted for Minecraft software purchases”, but the answer I’d like to see is, “we have made it possible” or “we have added a disclaimer to the Minecraft purchase form that clearly defines what is acceptable payment”

I am in the exact situation here as well! Please Please Microsoft! Do the Right Thing!

As it appears Microsoft is NOT WILLING to sell anything to customers. They just want to take the money for nothing.

We're all just asking a simple sales contract.

Microsoft, are you really telling us that you cannot accept the money that we already transferred to you for purchases?

And on top of that you are refusing to refund the money, although you're not able to deliver.

There may be very few countries on this planet where this kind of behaviour is legal!

I will not spend any further cent, before I get what I paid for!

And if I chose the wrong way of paying I expect to get back the money in order to transfer it in the right way.

No company can afford to treat their customers like that.

I talked to Microsoft support. They told me that the Java edition of Minecraft is sold in a different store, not a Microsoft store. In my opinion Microsoft does not have permission to sell that version (in fact you cannot find it in the Microsoft Store portal) or Mojang (despite being owned by Microsoft) cannot take money from a Microsoft account (in fact it asks you to enter a payment method during the 'purchase). I pointed out that they must report this very clearly because right now they screw people.
