Buying Microsoft points for a friend in Finland.

I purchased a card for a friend on Amazon this evening, and was given a code. I relayed that code to my friend via message. He kept getting errors when inputting the code. Apparently, and I failed to read this on Amazon when I made this purchase,
the code is only valid for U.S. customers. The code is non-refundable. Is there anyway to convert this code? I called Microsoft on the phone, and everyone was completely useless. No one could tell me if any avenue was available for me to purchase a card
for a friend to use in Finland. Further, no one told me if there was a way I could convert this as of yet unused card into one he could use. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The only way you can "give" points to some one is by giving them a redeem code. My suggestion would be to buy them on amazon.com if you want them right away. You can get a code emailed to you instantly. Then just forward the code to your friend.

giving money is not a supported option on xbox live

ms points and currency has always been region locked on all consoles why in heavens name would you think gifting is supported?

 

amazon are pretty clear on what currency cards they sell

they will say us codes or Canadian or uk
