Buying gift card off microsoft

I am interested in buying a 10 digital code card from Microsoft Australia. Do I have to be on my account I want the code to be on to buy it or can I buy and use the code on what ever xbox live profile I want?

if you buy a $10 card, then you will get the code on the card to use whenever you wish

If you Buy a $10 code, then most of the time you will get the code via email, which you can use whenever you wish. and by what you are stating above it sounds like your buying a "card" which means they will Post the card with the code on it directly to you,
so you can use it on any account, whenever you wish.

It appears in the picture saying "DIGITAL CODE" so I guess its a code but will I be able to buy it and use it on a completely different profile.

 

I presume you're purchasing the code from a site outside of Microsoft. If this is true then either you will get the code immediately upon purchase or it will be emailed to you. Once you receive the code then you can apply it to whichever account you choose
to.

Remember, you should never give out your gamertag info (login/password) on any site other than Microsoft/Xbox ones.

That is a Microsoft store. You more than likely used your gamertag to sign in and make the purchase. Keep an eye on the email associated with the tag for the code. Be sure to check junk/spam folders.

If you do not receive it to the email you used when you made the purchase then you should give them a call.

Yes, they should send you a code that you can use for whichever account you choose. Just make sure that the account is set for the same region (country) that the code is for.

 

I am really annoyed, I got the 10 dollar card because the dlc I was getting was said everywhere to be 9.99 but when I woke up this morning about to buy it it said 14 dollars.

 

Perhaps the item you wanted to purchase was on sale. Also, don't forget that a $10 card would not have been enough as taxes would have been charged on the item as well.
