    Buying Games


    All right so this is kind of embarrassing considering my age. I have had the first xbox one for a long time. So long in fact that when I first got it I was a minor so my parents put on parental controls. I am 21 years old and the parental controls on the
    xbox seem to be deactivated except for one thing. That being that I still need to ask them to buy games on the store with my own debit card. The worst part about it is the email paired to their account isn't even used anymore so I can't get it resolved with
    their help. Is there any way to force the parental controls to deactivate or a I cursed to be only able to buy disks in perpetuity?

    I believe setting up a game share would solve the problem/answer the question. It would allow for you to both share purchased content and dlc. One way to do it would be to login to both accounts and set them as the home Xbox seperately so that both accounts
    accounts will be tied to the home Xbox, therefore sharing games between accounts.

    Another way to do it would be to set up a family on the Xbox with your son's account set as the child/other family member and that will also share content between the two on the Xbox. Both of these can be done in the settings.

    There's also no set timeline for games to become available for purchase through Games on Demand. It could take a few months or a year.
