buying games with xbox currency

my question is if i can use my xbox currency everywhere, i got my console in the netherlands but we have no game preview program so i can't play ark ;(

thats why i changed the country to germany to be able to buy the game but the only option i saw was credit card. even paypall doesnt work.

so i would like to know if i can still use my xbox currency when i switch countrys to buy a game on the xbl marketplace.

from 10 days .. i can`t purchase games ... anyone have this problem ?

if you are buying a game with a currency that is not your local currency. That was the reason Ive got it.

Problem buying with microsoft currency

Hello, so I have a Problem buying with microsoft currency, and i will explain how.

So i have 5 euros in my microsoft balance and i want to buy Fortnite Starter pack which costs 4.99 euros i click buy and it shows buy with credit or debit card and paypal, but there is no option to buy with microsoft currency. I've tried buy it on Xbox ,
microsoft online and nothing helps. Please help.

No. Currency will only work in the region it was originally for.

You can purchase games using currency on their respective consoles: You can use currency to buy Xbox 360 games ON the Xbox 360 just like you can buy Xbox One games ON the Xbox One, but you cannot purchase Xbox 360 games on an Xbox One using microsoft currency.

If you are buying the content from the Xbox Marketplace as currency for a specific game then it will be sent directly to your in game account. Please be aware though that it can take up to 24 hours for the currency to arrive in your game.

Thank you for contacting Forum support.

Due to the platform and programming behind how to work billing into the console, currently Microsoft Currency is not able to buy BWC (Backwards compatible ) games.

On an Xbox one you may buy Xbox one games with Microsoft currency but not BWC games.

Although, if you own an Xbox 360 you may launch the 360 and use said currency to purchase the BWC games/content, then launch them on the Xbox one.
