Buying games with my Microsoft Personal Account

I received $20 from Microsoft on the transition from points to currency. I want to use them for games in the Xbox Live Store, but it's not letting me, it keeps listing my debit card for the purchase. Can someone help me out here? I hate to have wasted
money on points back in the day and not to be able to use them now.

Hijacking my account

Downloaded Digital Game using wrong Microsoft Account

Hi,

I work for a charity and we recently got donated a sum of money to purchase an Xbox One for our children's & teen's play room. I purchased an Xbox that included a digital copy of FIFA 16 and after setting up the console downloaded the game. Naively I thought
I could just sign in with my personal Microsoft account, download the game onto the console, then once the game was on the console sign out from my account and just let people use the game on the console.

Of course as soon as I went to play the game I was told I had to sign back in with my personal account and am now left with the situation of having a game that is unplayable unless I leave my personal account with my personal details and personal bank settings
signed into a public Xbox.

Is there no way to create a Microsoft account specifically for the charity I work for and make it so the game is playable when signed in under that account?

Sorry to see that your unable to buy content from the Xbox Live Market Place. When you start to Purchase something your credit card will appear if you have one on file and apply it. You can manage those here: commerce.microsoft.com/.../PaymentInstrument
Since this seems to be the first time. Please clear your system cache(settings, system, storage, hover-over hard drive, then click (y). Once you have done that please clear the cache 3 times. After that please then go to your storage and find system files.
Delete Market Place data if you see this. After that, re-download your profile only. Please then try to make a purchases using your Microsoft Account.

If the game is over the price then you cant buy it make sure it is under the amount.

 

i guess you attempt to purchase via xbox.com?

should be working fine if you search your game on your 360 and purchase there
