    Sorry to hear you're having issues purchasing with your MSP.

    Mainland China is not an Xbox LIVE supported region, only Hong Kong is.

    • Has this purchasing issue happened for you while you were in Hong Kong or only after you left?
    • Where did you purchase the MSP (retailer, xbox.com, console, etc.)?
    • Have you tried purchasing both through your console and on xbox.com?

    Yes, Microsoft point cards can still be redeemed to buy content from Xbox LIVE. However, the Microsoft pints will be converted into currency for you country. The currency for the Points will be how much you bought worth of. For EX: 1,200 Points= $20 after
    that you then can start buying games and apps from Xbox Market Place.

    Hello,

    Not all gift cards work on Xbox LIVE as these are prepaid cards that have a set amount of money on them so your results may vary. You also would need a card denomination higher than $10 to get 800 Microsoft Points as there is an authorization charge first which
    is returned to you within 72 hrs. You'd need to get a card with around $12 denomination to be able to get $10 in Microsoft Points successfully. If you're not able to do so by adding the card to your account, then you can try a website like Amazon they have
    codes for 800 Microsoft Points that they e-mail you.
