Buying game inside Game Pass

If I have Game Pass, and I decide to purchase a game with the discount, will I still be able to play it after game pass subscription expires since I payed actual $$ to buy it?

I was thinking of using Game pass to buy a game I found with the discount, but I am confused on how the above question applies.

and another note, buying the game used and buying an 800 point online pass is STILL cheaper than buying it brand new for the online pass. so people cant really complain.

Short answer bud yes the games stay, the only games that get removed (If the subscription ends) are games with gold. If game purchase is made the license is owned by the profile as stated on our

Digital Games FAQ page on our website so no need to worry if it expires!

 

Thanks. I was going to try the 14 day free trail to play a couple games, and pay $$ to buy the 3rd one so when trail ends, I could still own and play the 3rd game. Is that correct about the 3rd game?

 

Hey Tyler thanks for the reply! Yes that is correct if the game is bought, regardless of the promotion, it is owned by the Microsoft account (Gamertag) so yes it stays on there.

 

Thank you. I am glad to hear that. 14 days with my internet I cannot play all the game pass games I wanted, so that is why I wanted to buy the 3rd game since 14days would have ended before I played it lol.
