Buying DLC on non-gamepass account.

I have xbox live ultimate, including the game pass.

As my kids and I all play on the same xbox, they can use this too.

There is a game I do not play but my boys do, and they want to buy some DLC with some birthday money/credit.

My question is:

If they buy the DLC on their account, will they be able to use it on a game downloaded from using my gamepass?

The Answer is Yes, You Can use the Game and DLC too if yours account own in same parental account

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. As long as you download the game, they will be able to use the DLC for the game. Once installed it acts as if they own through the home sharing so it will work. Remember though with game pass, games do
get removed and changed out. So if the game isn't purchased they will own that DLC but wont have the game for the extra content unless the game is purchased.

Which usually can get games at a discount through game pass.

It becomes orphan DLC. It's the chance you take buying DLC for a Gamepass game.

I have not bought the DLC it says they are included with gamepass.

On the xbox app it says it is included with gamepass. And when i click on the DLC i cant install it only buy it.

All that's included in it is Halo 1 to 4 but you can get Reach and ODST via DLC. I have a better suggestion though, if you get gamepass you can play all of it without having to buy it. The DLC is included in the gamepass!
