Buying digital version of game from Xbox Marketplace on NTSC Xbox 360 console

I live in Europe but I have USA version of xbox 360 console (NTSC). I wonder whether game bought and downloaded from xbox marketplace by my european microsoft account will work on my console. I'd like to buy Read Dead Redemption but I'm afraid it won't
be working due to these region locks, like in physical DVD games because European PAL games won't run on my console (there's one exception because I borrowed RDR PAL edition from my friend and it somehow was working on my NTSC console but only this one game)

The game should work fine on your ntsc console. Just to confirm though, you could ask
rockstar games if it will work just to be sure.

but what about digital codes for xbox 360 games,i'm trying to buy the ninja gaiden 3 razor edge digital code from my seller.Like will that digital code work,is there some actual pal or ntsc codes for the xbox 360 console?

Hi,

Well if the first game you purchased was NTSC and it's specifically telling you that it's the wrong region code for your console then it would mean buying another NTSC game would also not work.

You'll need to purchase games that will work on your Xbox 360 console. There are some games that are not region locked, the games you wish to purchase are. You'd need to get an NTSC-J version of the game if available. NTSC and NTSC-J are different and are not
the same. You found games with NTSC compatibility this does not mean they will work on your NTSC-J console.

1.) Not unless you can find an NTSC-J version of that game.

2.) Xbox 360's are region locked, always have been, always will be. Xbox One consoles are not region locked, and you can purchase games from whatever country you'd like and play them on that console.

3.) No there are no reimbursements from Microsoft because you purchased the wrong games for your console, sorry.

Yes. There are English and Française versions of Mass Effect I & II for NTSC in both digital and physical editions. If only the English versions show up in the Canadian Xbox 360 Marketplace, set your location to Quebec.

If you buy the English versions by mistake, contact support for a refund.

I don't quite understand what you mean.

For what I know, HK console is NTSC-J.

It supports all NTSC-J games,

and some region-free NTSC-U, PAL games.

However, I am not buying a retail DVD game.

I am buying a Games-on-Demand game on HK marketplace, for my HK console.

Why would MS put a region-not-matched version of the game onto the marketplace of that region???
