Buying digital games from Microsoft store

Greetings,

Can you pre-order on the X1 console? I've attempted to pre-order the digital copy of Titanfall, but when I click the button to do so from the titanfall homepage, it takes me to the MS Store. This is fine, but when filling out the purchase form, it only
gives me the option to enter US states, and no provinces.

Is there a way around this?

Destiny pre-order edition and discount?

Do we still the $10 digital gift card from buying the pre-purchase digital version of this game from Microsoft store, like we would normally get from purchasing the disk version?

Is that for digital downloads? Thought it was just for buying them from the Microsoft store.

When you click on the orange pre-order bar beside the game it should take you to a Canadian site to order from.

 

That link is selling the disk based version. I am talking about the digital version, which as I understand it, can only be purchased from the Microsoft Store.

 

Why would you need to pre-order a digital copy. Just buy and download the day it is released digitally. Done.

I'm guessing you preorder it to have the download ready to go on launch day.

 

Titanfall will be available for purchase and download on March 11. No sooner.

 

@Mister Switch there's an article on IGN that says that we will be able to Pre-purchase/pre-load Titanfall, any truth to it? Does it not apply to Canadians?

 

That post was an error. The digital copy cannot be purchased early.

@onyx62is ya I saw that afterwards, that's really too bad...Hopefully in the future we'll be able to.

Anyways, I have a question about the whole digital purchase after seeing that article.

Will Titanfall (Digital download) only be available at 12:01PST? (that's what the original article said)

I found that weird because that means that everyone on the East coast has to wait till 3am to get and play the game. Still better then waiting for 8am to get a physical copy(Quebec law), but really wished I didn't have to wait till 3am to start downloading
it.

 

I wouldn't expect it to go online any sooner than that. Keep in mind it will also take you a while to download and install the game. It you want to be playing ASAP it may be fastest to buy a physical copy and install from disc, depending on your internet
connection and stuff.

 

@Mister Switch like I mentioned, Quebec law doesn`t allow for retailers to have Midnight launches so we have to wait till 8am to get the game, yeah sucks I know. So you think it will only be available for digital download at 3:01am Eastern time? No physical
discs for me, I'm ONLY digital this generation and love it. XBOX, PLAY TITANFALL!

 

Yeah I'm trying to go 100% Digital this generation too. So much more convenient being able to instantly load up a game on a whim from any Xbox One. With digital games I can be playing one game, and get an invitation to another game and just jump right in
without fumbling with discs. Thats enough for me to make the switch, personally.

As far as timing goes, nobody can give you a guarantee of exact to-the-minute timing of when you'll be able to start your digital downloads online. It will happen some time in the early hours but if you're looking for a specific time beyond that, you should
probably not wait up.
