Buying cod dlcs is broken

Did he restart his Xbox? Sometimes it takes a while for the servers to make a connection between purchases and it'll show it as an error. Try restarting, going back to the DLC and see if you still have to make a purchase. If the issue is still there, go
online and talk to Microsoft support to try and get a refund to redo the purchase.

This is why I don't buy Cod dlc.

I have plenty of other reasons for not buying any COD DLC anymore, but this is a good one. IW has never had a good history of handling their DLC well. Their organization of the playlists is just one good example.
