Buying backward compatible games

glad they added the games to the store but doesn't let me buy using points still asks for a credit card,is there a way to set it up to use points.

Buying a 360 game on Xbox.com adds the game to your download queue on the 360, so the next time the console switches on it can begin downloading. The ''ready to install'' list on Xbox one runs from your purchase history. So as long as the game you are buying
IS backwards compatible, It should work.

Are you referring to your Microsoft account balance? Microsoft points are no longer used and were converted to local currency. Pease click on the link for more information. Hope this helps.

You still need a payment option on file to buy 360 games on xbox one

You can only use currency if you have a 360 console

If you buy one of those Xbox cards coming in various denominations ala apple or Google play, you can purchase Xbox one games on your Xbox one WITHOUT a credit card. BUT if you buy an Xbox 360 game on the Xbox one you CANNOT use the Xbox cards you have to
use a credit card. Why?
