    Buying and Selling accounts


    So I was recently wondering and thought I'd ask is it legal or illegal to buy, sell, and/or Trade accounts not just on Xbox but any game, console, and/or computer

    I looked it up outta curiosity and some say it's legal and others say it's illegal but what got me curious about this subject is I heard someone say they bought his account from his friend that lives near him because his friend got rid of his xbox so he
    sold it to him. Now I am not going to mention the name of the account but I did want to know about this.

    Hi,

    As per the Code of Conduct:

    Don’t engage in fraud or unauthorized transactions. For example, don't:



    • Lend, transfer, sell, or otherwise provide third parties access to your accounts or Gamertags
    Microsoft’s Code of Conduct Explained for Xbox Live Customers

    So you can buy an account but it will be under a permanent suspension once the concernced team will take a look at this.
