Buying an Xbox One!

@lei Fang I was replaying to the OP and yourself in particular but also for those that wish to make a custom skin for their console. I plan on picking one up myself when i settle on the right design.

I am glad to hear you are getting an XB1. Kinect is definitely the way to go.

if u still wanna stick with MS then i heard the version without kinect is going to be about 350 Euro ...!

as far as i use the xbox i have not much use for kinect ...

 

@ Lei Fang, don't you mean the best bundle ever would be a Gears of War: Delta Squad Trilogy Edition Xbox One?

 

I was a Kinect skeptic. I disliked the first one. But Xbox One with Kinect is the best experience. While the "Stranded" aka Kinect-Less struggle to "Record that" and navigate directly to a snappable app. I will just say "Xbox snap achievements" and
I am there. The Stranded will have to hit the Xbox button, select snap, and then navigate to achievements then select it. XB1 with Kinect is far more convenient. Also, Skype, Twitch, YouTube are all easier with Kinect. While the mo cap is not a preference
for me, the Voice Navigation is incredible. And I can't imagine Xbox One without it.

This is my opinion, but it is hard to argue against the convenience I stated above.

 

Kinect is the way to go. I use it all the time. Turning my system on, accepting invites, starting a game, checking to see who's online. I do all of that while getting dressed after a shower. Kinect is the pinnacle of convenience and definitely the way to
go if you're going to buy an Xbox One. Anyone without a Kinect is missing out heavily, and I have yet to find an actual reason not to get one.

 

I think people definitely need to try kinect for themselves. I thought I'd enjoy using it........turn's out I hate it. I'd of gone kinectless if the choice was there at launch.

 

Why do you hate it? I started indifferent and I'm quite satisfied with the ease of use and constant expansion of capabilities.

Wait until after MS's Gamescom press conference to buy something. Unless there's some game you're itching to get your hands on, I would wait. You don't even need to get it for Destiny right away as your characters are cross-generation from the 360 to Xbox
One.

 

I don't really want to get into an argument over kinect again on here. I'll keep it short and then leave it at that.

I started out pretty indifferent to kinect too, I gave it ago for about a month and didn't enjoy the experience. It worked fine.... Not perfect but pretty good. I simply didn't like the idea, I felt awkward talking to a game console. I also play at night
a lot when the wife and kids are in bed, so I like to keep the noise down and be quiet for the family.

when it come's to using kinect or a controller, I much prefer a controller.

Gears Of War is an amazing series indeed

But unfortunately Gears Of War isn't my perverbial "cup of tea" as I did play some of the the first game. I had a lot of fun watching my friend play it though

I agree that the Kinect is innovative and all, but since I don't care about multiplayer gaming at all (in reference to using it to talk to others); I'd rather spend that money ($100 for buying $400 instead of the $500) on games / accesories.

I was reading an article and rumor is going around that Microsoft is going to announce another price drop at games com for the Xbox One. Don't know if it will be a worldwide thing or europe only but it will be interesting if it does happen. Another rumor
is they are going to release a white console for Sunset Overdrive.
