Buying an Xbox One in another country.

If I buy an Xbox One in Canada and take it with me to the US what problems will I have? I already have a gamertag from the US and plan on using that with the Xbox One purchased from Canada. Will their be any issues? Details please.

Buying xbox one x from another country

If the console requires a repair then you may have to send it back to Germany for this.

As for the console itself you will have no issues with purchasing games or using Xbox Live as you will be asked to set your language and location during the initial setup.

hey guys and girls.

I have a family member in Germany coming to visit me in South Africa and they want to bring me an xbox one x for my bday.

Im sure it will work since home voltages are the same.

I just want to know if it would actually play the games from here? And will the console work for xbox live ? Or just offline?

I don't believe there will be any issues. Both the US and Canada run off of the same power standards. When you get home simply start up the console and be sure to select the US as your home country.

I Imported an Xbox One from Germany to Norway before the "Scandinavian launch" no issues/problems to report at all, Only thing I could think of was not beeing able to use the Xbox live market place to access paid content, but that was only due to it not
being officially launched in Norway yet and that i because of that had to use an other "locale" setting (there was a way around that to, but I chose not to as I found that I could wait for that part as I got all the free DLC updates for Forza5 including tracks)

so as onyx62is says as long as the power standards are the same in Your country and the one you are importing it from there should not be any issues

The only minor issue would be the power cable. There are slight differences between plugs in different parts of Germany and Italy. All you'll need is a Fig 8 power cable that is compatible to mains sockets in Italy. These cables can be purchased from most electrical stores.

While it's true it may depend on the retailer, 99% of EU based retailers will ship to another EU country, indeed they have no reason not to. No customs duties or shipping complications like it would shipping from say the U.S to the EU. There won't be a payment problem as both countries use the same currency.

As I understand it, Xbox Codes for the EU are not region locked and both Germany and Italy support Xcloud.
