    if i go to the shops and buy a game pass ultimate subscription do i still need to add a credit card when redeeming that subscription and downloading games on the game pass? i really don't want to add a credit card and it's **** that you have to unless you're actually planning on buying stuff with the CC.

    I think this opportunity is temporary. Microsoft can and probably will stop the possibility of exchanging game pass and live gold subscriptions for game pass ultimate, since the price and subscriptions are not the same. Few xbox users will buy a game pass ultimate subscription with the possibility of free exchange for example: live gold on ultimate!

    Gold membership when purchasing Game pass ultimate

    When renewing an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription it converts the three months xbox live to 1 month xbox live. You can wait untill the subscription has fully ended to redeem three months of xbox live. I recommend buying many months or a year of xbox
    live then buying one month of game pass ultimate it will change the whole subscription to xbox game pass ultimate. This can only go up to 36 months

    Is there a way you can convert xbox game pass for console into game pass for pc?

    The only way would be to cancel the subscription and buy the correct one, or buy a Game Pass Ultimate subscription to convert what you already have into Ultimate which includes PC Game Pass.

    I bought a 12 mouth game pass last year on the 1/10/2022 and now Xbox and Microsoft have emailed me saying it runs out today but that would only give me 6 mouth WOT CAN I DO ?

    Please confirm on your account subscription page via https://account.microsoft.com/services if you can see that your subscription is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

    If it's Ultimate, that only means that when you buy or redeem Xbox Game Pass for 12 months, it was converted to Ultimate. The conversion rate for 12 months of Game Pass is 5 months of Ultimate. Possible that you still had Ultimate subscription before adding Game Pass.

    If I have Live Gold and want to buy Game Pass.....

    If you buy standard Game Pass, then it won't have any affect on your Gold subscription. They'll be 2 different subscriptions.

    If you buy Game Pass Ultimate, it will convert your remaining Gold to Game Pass Ultimate. So if you were to buy 1 month of Ultimate, it will convert your Gold and you will have Game Pass Ultimate until June 2022. If you were to cancel your Ultimate subscription before June 2022, you would lose everything you've already paid for.
