    Buying a Minecraft gift for different regions


    I recently purchased Minecraft (for PC) as a gift in Australia for a friend in Europe and it failed to be accessed or downloaded due to the region. Is this still a problem as I read that if I change the region before purchasing it will be okay... I've since had it refunded and want to now try it again if possible.

    Why is buying a gift so hard, I understand it's not hard for my money to be instantly taken so why the access to a gift?
    What needs to be changed if so...the region in my Microsoft account, Xbox account or my computer and billing details or can the person receiving change their details?
    Also does the receiver need a microsoft account to install and play Minecraft?

    Do you keep (still install, play, and run) apps you buy when you change regions?

    Not any of the game passes. Planning on buying minecraft and its such a hassle for me to process a card so im using online shops to buy gift cards and we dont have gift cards for my region so im buying US xbox gift cards to buy minecraft. I already got 5 usd in my account, I'm asking because I don't wanna buy the app if I can't use it when I revert my region. Thanks for the response

    You have to find an etailer Luke Amazon or gamestop to buy a localized code for his region

    There is different taxes and rules for every region

    My friend from Florada gived me a code for a dlc for monster hunter world but i can't use it .

    Gifting is region locked, so if they are on a different region than you, they would have to try getting a refund and trying to buy the game elsewhere that will work in your region.

    I don't know to able to accept the gift code.
    You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region. The region of the code must match the region of your account.
