Buying a game, I already downloaded with "Games with Gold"

Hey there,

I tried "Games with Gold", where I can download a game for free during my Xbox Live Gold subscription.

As far as I know, the game gets unplayable, when I am not subscribed anymore.

The thing is, that I would like to play the game without a subscription and offline, but I can't buy it since I already downloaded it while I was subscripted.

The game's website on Xbox.com always shows the date I "bought/downloaded" it and no "buy it now"-button.

Is there any way to forget about the "Games with Gold" download, so I can buy and play it forever?

im really enjoying it. i still playing that defense grid game, i love it. i actually bought the dlc. i would have never considered playing or buying this game otherwise.

I hope MS decides to keep this going forward. I know its only meant to run through December but its a very nice feature.

Also being a PS+ member I can tell you that the variety of games offered make the "yearly" sub price a great deal.

Sorry to hear it. The Games with Gold program gives free games to all Gold members however, once a membership has lapsed you can no longer access those games on the Xbox One.

Have you tried deleting the game and then redownloading it? If you have and that doesn't work then give phone support a call and let them know what happened. They may be able to help you out so you can purchase the game.

Do you mean without buying it again? because if you already bought it should be ready to install. Otherwise there's no way to download a game if you haven't bought it, unless it's free with gold or available on game pass.

I have a full gold subscription it just wont let me buy games with golds discount and it wont let me download games that are free with gold either.

Other than what you have been told there is no other solution. The only solution is to buy another Gold subscription for yourself or download the games with an Xbox 360.

Gold isn't transferable. It doesn't matter if you were able to change the master account your account still won't have gold which is required to download Games with Gold.

I am totally serious about the wait till he turns 18 years old. Microsoft is too unless you want to follow the solutions already given.

This simple problem CAN be easily solved. You need to buy another Gold subscription for yourself and apply it to your game tag. Once you have Gold, designate the console as YOUR Home console and the issue will be solved.

You could of course wait until the current Gold expires or buy a 3 month card to apply to your own account, but 14 day trials and such won't work or qualify you to download GWG going forward.

Of course the games are free, they are from games with gold, but when i try to download it, appears the error message that i said.

When i try to buy some xbox 360 game, i have to pick on the price, to try to buy it, but again it says the error code.

Those games from 360 that i try to buy or download, I have never had them before, It’s a new purchise of the game.

In the transactions history, of course I only can see the games that purchased before, or downloaded from games with gold.
