    Buying a game for someone overseas


    Hello. I would like to buy a game for my son who is in the Army and stationed in Germany. I tried to buy the game through Microsoft Store but was told I could only buy a game for someone in the US. Anyone got an idea on how I can get him a game? Would
    just like for him to be able to download and start playing. Thanks.

    Games from the UK will definitely work here in Australia. Quite often a lot of games from overseas such as Asia etc will also work but you just need to check to see if they are region locked. Most overseas web sites that sell to Australia will tell you
    if the games will work here or not.

    With Microsoft Points only Aussie points will work here. But you can buy Xbox Live memberships from overseas they definitely work and are generally way cheaper than buying them here.

    I have never been able to buy content with my xbox overseas. Im in the Navy and bring it with me underway. I believe the marketplace is restricted to US IP addresses. Same thing happens to me when buying digital content via steam or amazon too. Just stick
    to buying physical discs and having them mailed when you are overseas. Everynow and then arcade games also come on disc, those would work.
