Buying a digital game with 2 xboxones

I have 2 xboxones. I have myself and 3 kids who all have our own accounts. We have no issues with digital games on the original Xbox I bought. The newer Xbox won't let anyone play the digital games unless I'm signed in. My account is the one that
bought them but it's not letting them play it unless I also have my ID signed on that Xbox meaning I cant play anything when they are on the new Xbox. It seems like this isn't correct since there's no issues like this on the original Xbox I bought. I
do buy all the games under my account on my first Xbox then transfer with my external to the new Xbox due to slower internet speeds. Please advise, thanks.

why not buy digital, save yourself some dusting and share the game with the other person, will save you money if your considering buying 2 copies.

And buying digital for him and not for you is insane IMO.

 

32 gb update

I just got an xboxone and when I put in the halo 5 game I was met with an unexpected 32 gb update.

Normally I decline to download games with gold and buying digital games but I cannot even use this game until this ridiculous update finishes.



Is there some way to pause and postpone this update. If I put a new game in will it cancel the current update and force me to start from the beginning?

 

That is how licensing works on digital content. When you purchase content it is tied to the gamertag that it was purchased with as well as the console it was purchased on. So you can sign into any console and use the content, but they can only use the content
on the console that has the console license (with the One it would be the console you have set as your Home console).

 

It possable to have it on two XBOX ONE's. But you need to have your profile on both console's. One as you home console. And one as friend's console. The home console get offline/online permission. And the friend's console get's online only permission. So
on the other console. You need to be online to played the game. While the home console. You do not need to be online to played the game. Unless the game itself required you to be online.

 

I have two XBONES also and what you need to do is make sure the system you use more often is the second system. On the main system, you do not have to be logged in to play so they kids can play whatever and whenever they want, even if you are playing on
the second system. If the kids are playing on both systems, as long as you are logged in(that does not mean you have to be the active profile) they can still use both systems.

 

Yeah I figured out that you can set one console as your home system. That console then won't have to be online and anyone can play without you being signed in. Then the other second console say will have to have my ID and signed in online to play. Works
out. If I make the one my kids play as the home then they can be on it without me or if they are on both then just have me signed on on the second one. Thanks.
