Buying 360 games with a gift card on xbox one

The xbox web site lets you buy xbox 360 backwards compatable games with a credit card. The xbox store on the xbox one says bundle only instead of a price. I have a gift card. The use of a gift card is not an option to buy xbox 360 backwards compatable games
on the web site. I do not have a credit card. I was also led to believe halo wars was going to be playable in decamber, since that was part of the december backwards compatable release list. I bought 3 copies of halo wars for my brothers and I to play in december
on christmas.

Save XBox One Players' Shopping Safety With Gift Card Option For 360 Games!

Microsoft, please allow XBox One players to use gift cards on buying 360 games and DLC along with the XBox One games! Buying gift cards are helpful with making sure no player gets penalized from overspending. When the XBox 360 games are what the players
want back onto their XBox Ones, or added along to the XBox One, and they buy gift cards to avoid being penalized from overspending, it would help a lot to be able to use gift card option on the website or XBox One to get the backwards compatible games! I almost
got penalized for trying to use the gift card option to buy a backwards compatible game! Please save players from doing that penalization and help them get their growing collection of games!

I want to get the Xbox 360 free games with gold, but i get an error message which says "You have no valid payment options on file".

I don't have the same problem with Xbox One games, it just appear on Xbox 360 Games.

and I also don't have a credit card, because I'm buying my games with Gift Cards, is there any way I can resolve this problem?

 

It is backwards compatible

But you have to purchase the game via the website with a valid payment option

You cannot access the 360 marketplace from the xbox one however the Web marketplace only works with payment option

Currency is only used on 360 consoles or one consoles and website

But not the 360 webmarketplace

So if you want to use the currency card you will have to borrow a 360 or rent one

 

So, you just restated my problem as the solution. Awesome. I don't know anyone with a 360, and do not have a credit card. I can use my microsoft account balance drafted from the gift card to purchase things from the microsoft store, but not the xbox store
on the xbox website, even though it is an xbox gift card, and not a "microsoft store" gift card.

 

Yes you can't use the giftcard for 360 games only on an 360 there is no other solution

It's the way the system works

You can only use it on the one webstore not the 360 one

 

They need to bring ascend hand of kul back

The solution has already been provided above. You cannot use Microsoft currency unless you are physically on a console (Xbox 360 or Xbox One). The issue here is that Backwards Compatible games can only be downloaded from a 360 console or via the Xbox.com
Marketplace which only accepts valid payment options (Credit/Debit cards, PayPal, etc.). Since you can't access the Xbox 360 Marketplace via the Xbox One, you will not be able to purchase 360 games with Microsoft currency via the Xbox One console.
